How to prepare your child to the joys of camping
Taking your children camping for the first time a difficult task, if you're not prepared. But a well-prepared campsite with your kids is a great joy for all. Here are some considerations and preparations you should make at home.
First, choose a location easily accessible. You can choose to have a field is accessible by car, if your kids are still relatively young. If you want to hike in camping on site, maintain the distancequite short. Also, remember that younger children can not stand the situation, and all their equipment and materials so that you end up with a very heavy pack, if you're not careful.
Here are some tips to minimize the amount of things you need, when you walk, are camping in your place.
First, choose a location with easy access to water. Thus it is possible in dry foods, water and use in the camping area for your kitchen with a cook. Who will save a lot of weight.
Also, trywhile maintaining one or two large tents for everyone, rather than smaller tents.
A bonfire is another consideration. Bonfire and S'mores are a must if you camp your children. Make sure the fire is a place that can select and delete with a ready source of water on the fire.
If your children camping, make sure they have the same formalities that you take camping: a change of clothes, a jacket or a rain jacket, food, water, tent, sleeping bagBag, mattress, etc.
One last thing before you should go camping with your children some facts of security, such as safety with fire, snakes, bears (if applicable), etc. Safety first!

Crazy Creek B.A. Tarp – Institutional
Crazy Creek B.A. Tarp - Institutional Review

This product is lighter than the cheap blue or silver tarps but way stronger. Great for the gusty trade winds here in the islands! Other tarps get the grommets pulling out but this baby is tough. This is not the ripstop lite model and its durability is more than worth the little extra weight (which is not much more). I used it for a canopy, lean-to and lowrise diagonal wing and its going strong after withstanding blasting wind and major tropical down pours while fishing and hunting. Everybody that saw and experienced its super multi-purpose functions were very impressed! Get a sharpie and have vistors sign it and log the days catch on it, it will be even more memorable as time goes on, as it should be around for years. I've had other "name-brand" tarps but this one beats 'em all!

Selk'bag 3G Kids by Musuc Review

My wife and I own the adult versions of the Selk'bag so when we saw the the children's version come out we picked up two for our kids (8 and 9 years old). They absolutely love these bags and always want to sleep in them at night instead of their beds. We are going camping together this weekend and the kids are actually excited to go because they get to use their "selkies"...our children have never gotten excited for camping before, which is hard because my wife and I love to go outdoors. Thank you Selk'bag!!!
