What do you do when you get home, must be required to go? Dream of new ways to backpack and new ideas for backpacking gear. Here are some of my ideas backpacker, the latest products and techniques.

New Backpacking Ideas - Products

Swamp cooler t-shirt. This trip is for the desert. So enjoy your shirt in a stream and is wet is a good way to keep the evaporation of cool, but twenty minutes later you move away from the river and the T-shirtdry. The idea behind it is a shirt that is attached to the bag of water. Once filled, the water remains slow leak in the fabric of his shirt, in silence for hours.

Solid fire starter sticks. Add a strike anywhere on the head of the army fuel sticks game and you have a fire starter immediately. This is something like a mini-summit on the crisis would flare.

Rain cape tarp. Not a towel poncho, but he has a chin and a bit 'of Velcro on one side. It would be cheaper and easierManufacture and easier to use effectively as a sheet. Moreover, the coverage lightweight backpack. If you've already done a rectangular plane to you and your head to keep the rain, you get the idea.

Water containers and disposable. The idea is to create a container with water for long walks in the desert, whether to bring additional water. If you are the tank, which is made of wax and paper, doubled as a good fire starter, so the weight of the bag.Existing waxed milk cartons of orange juice could be used for this.

Backpacking ideas - techniques

Create body heat. It can be worn in less cold and sleeping gear if you have more body heat. To create more fat to eat before bedtime. Fats generate heat when they are digested (you can eat hot for this reason, the Eskimos of blubber). Corn chips are oily enough to help if you can not stomach a half cup of olive oil before bedtime.

Tent Air Conditioning. The dry and hot days, every piece of cloth most of the network nearest creek to try to put it on the roof of the tent. Evaporative cooling can lower the temperature inside the tent of ten degrees. If you have a shirt or other clothing that is used to allow sufficient time before dark, dry completely.

Night hikes. I have deliberately planned a trip together for five days at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, with the full moon. Every night sleep disturbed by the coldThen I traveled easily through the rest of the night in the moonlight. He learned to bring a lightweight sleeping bag, and was a unique experience - one of those ideas, backpack, which I wanted to try for a while '. However, it quietly takes a nap in the sun all afternoon.

Every year I noticed that the latest tracks in deep snow on the price, which is slow, especially when transporting your products in the forest. Kurt Papke was a great hiking partner ... very strong and independent. I like that in a backpacker! The wind tore Egge Lake, when we arrived around 3:30 ET where we are is camouflaged in the woods away from the lake and the protection of trees. Nice to have hammocks for it.My set-up was quick and easy hammock with straps and rings and click on my hammock DIY. Kurt uses the standard nodes Hennessy and scathing, and it seemed easy and fast. We went back and was renewed in my car, what do we know a dangerously cold night. I took a second sleeping bag, and more gas is empty. We were only about 15 minutes there. Leskinen Creek South now. Don't get me wrong, it's not what you'd put your kid in if you are headed to Banff in September, but it does the trick for most 3-season outings.
Held it up to the sun, and the baffling is pretty even. not bad for a bag.
Zipper glide and pull are chunky and easy to work with small fingers - even glo-in-the-dark. And THANK YOU Coleman - for not forcing the usual super-Lame color schemes which stereotype our children into PINK and BLUE crapola.
The grey /green looks like an actual piece of gear instead of some sort of bad Disney marketing casualty.
Is Coleman finally making good stuff again? stay tuned. So far this one is a hit in my book.

Coleman Kids Explorer Sleeping Bag Feature

Kids' sleeping bag with unique glow-in-the-dark liner with star constellations

28-ounce Coletherm insulation keeps you warm down to 25 degrees Fahrenheit

3-inch insulated draft tube runs the length of the zipper to keep out chilly drafts

Box-shaped foot provides additional comfort

Measures 30 inches wide by 66 inches long; fits kids up to 5' 2"

Coleman Kids Explorer Sleeping Bag Overview

Features: 30" x 66" sleeping bag. 28 ounces Coletherm Insulation. Durable polyester cover and liner. Keeps you comfortable down to 25°. Sculpted hood surrounds head to retain warmth. Two layers of insulation with offset quilt lines eliminate potential cold spots. 3" insulated draft tube runs the length of the zipper to keep out chilly drafts. Box-shaped foot provides additional comfort. #5 two-way zipper allows for ventilation. Commercial machine washable only. Stuff sack included.

Coleman Kids Explorer Sleeping Bag Specifications

Introduce your kids to the great outdoors and ensure their warmth and comfort with the Coleman Explorer mummy-style sleeping bag, which is rated to 25 degrees for three-season outdoor camping. Measuring 30 by 66 inches, this bag fits kids up to 5 feet, 2 inches tall. This gray bag also includes a unique bright yellow interior that glows in the dark with star constellations.

Two layers of insulation with offset quilt lines eliminate potential cold spots. This bag is filled with 28 ounces of Coletherm insulation, exclusive to Coleman, which is a hollow-core fiber, allowing for greater loft (a measure of the amount of space the insulation occupies and the amount of air the insulation can trap). The hollow-core fibers create pockets of air that serve as an extra barrier between the sleeper and the environment, maximizing thermal efficiency.

The sculpted hood surrounds the head to retain warmth, and a 3-inch insulated draft tube runs the length of the zipper to keep out chilly drafts. A trapezoid-contoured foot box gives feet more wiggle room. Other features include a durable polyester cover and liner, included stuff sack, and a two-way ZipPlow zipper that plows fabric away from zipper to prevent snags (and glows in the dark). This sleeping bag is machine washable.

About Coleman
The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.

Taking your children camping for the first time a difficult task, if you're not prepared. But a well-prepared campsite with your kids is a great joy for all. Here are some considerations and preparations you should make at home.

First, choose a location easily accessible. You can choose to have a field is accessible by car, if your kids are still relatively young. If you want to hike in camping on site, maintain the distancequite short. Also, remember that younger children can not stand the situation, and all their equipment and materials so that you end up with a very heavy pack, if you're not careful.

Here are some tips to minimize the amount of things you need, when you walk, are camping in your place.

First, choose a location with easy access to water. Thus it is possible in dry foods, water and use in the camping area for your kitchen with a cook. Who will save a lot of weight.

Also, trywhile maintaining one or two large tents for everyone, rather than smaller tents.

A bonfire is another consideration. Bonfire and S'mores are a must if you camp your children. Make sure the fire is a place that can select and delete with a ready source of water on the fire.

If your children camping, make sure they have the same formalities that you take camping: a change of clothes, a jacket or a rain jacket, food, water, tent, sleeping bagBag, mattress, etc.

One last thing before you should go camping with your children some facts of security, such as safety with fire, snakes, bears (if applicable), etc. Safety first!
